 Forestland Consultation, Marketing and Sales

Scott came to Coldwell Banker Bain from Colliers International where he was Vice President of the Natural Resource Group (NRG). The Colliers NRG assisted some of the largest landholders in the region and the U.S. with consulting services, marketing and sales of their land holdings.

Between 2008 and 2009, he was part of a small team of consultants that assisted one of their clients through a land exchange with the Washington State Department of Natural Resources. In total, over 26,000 acres were exchanged.

Scott’s career started in 1995 when he was hired by Plum Creek Timber Company after graduating from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Science in Forest Resource Management. He worked in multiple capacities during the decade he spent with Plum Creek and as a result he is well versed in the complexities of large tract land stewardship.

He began working with Plum Creek as a Forester, but was quickly promoted to develop the Special Forest Products division. Noble Fir Boughs played a very large role in Special Products Sales, in addition to Quarry Rock, Cedar and Old Growth Salvage, Christmas Trees, Firewood and Floral Greens. In addition to expanding this business Scott was involved in the permitting of a rock quarry in
PierceCounty.  During his time with Plum Creek, Scott was also quite active in real estate on a personal level.  As an investor, he has purchased, sold and managed all types of real estate from residential rentals to commercial property.

Scott offers both brokerage and consulting services and his area of expertise is vacant land - primarily: forestland, rural residential land, natural resource land, recreational acreage, and transitional tracts.
